Most telescoping poles come with either a rubber cap or no cap on the bottom. When inserting your pole into a tube to hold it this presents a problem as the cap is larger than your telescoping pole. This plug is designed to be the exact diameter of your pole and it is made to glue inside the bottom piece. This makes it easy to get a tube with an inside diameter of the outside diameter of your pole and the pole will fit solid inside. The plug also has a center through hole which allows you to fee a wire up your pole from the bottom if needed.
Once you confirm the dry-fit is correct it is suggested you glue the plug using an epoxy like JB-Weld. Be careful not to put too much glue on it or the glue may ooze into the telescoping section and glue the extensions down onto the plug.
